poor soundproofingconnecting door
the room lacked soundproofing i could hear everything from the adjacent room this made it difficult to sleep. there was a connecting door to the next room so every sound was audible. the staff said it was a known issue for that room because of the door no umbrellas were available when it rained.

i adored the hotel's decor. it had an eclectic yet classy feel. the authenticity of the hotel was very apparent. the period living feeling with beautiful furniture. the hotel exuded history, a true merchant's mansion.
The soundproofing was not perfect. I could hear some noise from adjacent rooms at times, a minor inconvenience in an otherwise splendid experience.
